Continuing Education for Nurses

The Medical Support Clinical Hypnotherapy Training is approved for 15.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education/professional development. This continuing nursing education activity is approved by New Mexico Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This offering is approved for RNs, APRNs, and Specialty RNs.

Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
We are an approved educational facility by the Department of Labor for new job training. Go to your regional Department of Labor to apply for assistance with tuition and required textbooks. Funding amount depends on what is available in your region. Some regions have paid as much as 100% while some regions have no funds available.

International Board of Hypnotherapy (IBH)
The IBH has the most rigorous requirements for certification of any professional hypnotherapy organization. Graduates of the Hypnotherapy Academy qualify for both Level Two, (Clinical Hypnotherapist) and Level Three, (Medical Support Clinical Hypnotherapist) membership.

American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (ACHE)

New Mexico Department of Higher Education
The Hypnotherapy Academy of America is licensed by the New Mexico Higher Education Department as a Private Post-Secondary Educational Institution, non-accredited diploma awarding vocational school, and was first registered in the State of New Mexico in 1988.

American Medical Association CME’s for Physicians
Our school has been approved to provide a course worth 20 Category 1 continuing medical education credits.  The course will focus on enhanced patient care with medical hypnotherapy training for healthcare providers.  It is sponsored by the University of New Mexico and will be held at the Hypnotherapy Academy on August 19-21, and again on December 2-4, 2016.
